#Expressotechsips - Product Owners Are Necessary - Episode #645

Product Owners are necessary at the team level. The product owner is a role on a scrum team that is responsible for the project's outcome.  They consult and leverage the expertise on the scrum team to help build the solution that meets the business goals and objectives.  This role is very valuable and should not be thought of as part-time or an after thought.  The old way of thinking is that the Product Owner, aka Subject Matter Expert, could do their day job and just from time to time consult with the team.  Scrum has proven that it's a full time job to continuously optimize and manage the priorities and the backlog to keep a healthy pipeline of work for a high performing team.  Listen and let us know if you agree?  What has been your experience working with Product Owners?
