Hebrew Israelites are recognizing they have some serious problems with their interpretation of Deuteronomy 28:68. It is a very fatalistic interpretation that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy of defeat and despair. It leads to fighting against God to alter the effects of their interpretation of the prophecy. How can one claim it is a divine edict and at the same time try to resist it?
