Long-Term PTSD Problems include a distorted view of the perpetrator and a preoccupation with one's relationship with the perpetrator. That is a belief that the perpetrator continues to have all of the power. "Stockholm Syndrome" that means to idealize the perpetrator, loving him or her and feeling grateful to have that person in their lives. Symptoms also include a sense of a supernatural or "fated" relationship with the perpetrator. Lastly, is acceptance of the perpetrator's ideas and beliefs. Education and knowledge will be given on the child/adult's sense of self, sense of meaning, relationships, physical well-being, managing your feelings, and behaviors, memory and perception, and other emotional disorders.
