Special Education Inclusion

Inclusion remains a controversial concept in education because it relates to educational and social values, as well as to our sense of individual worth.
Dr. Annie Abram will discuss special education inclusion with Mary Ulrich, who holds a Masters and Doctorate in Early Childhood and Special Education.

Mary E. Ulrich didn’t know anything about people with severe disabilities until her son Aaron was born. Fortunately, a new law (now called IDEA) had just been passed and Mary, Aaron and a whole group of parents, professionals and citizens used every ounce of power of the law to get Aaron and others into public schools and included in their communities.
