The United Nations warns that a protracted pandemic crisis could put a strain on the food supply chains across the world, increasing food insecurity fo millions. Although the issue is not food scarcity, as much as it is the world’s measures in response to the fast-spreading virus. Disruptions to the shipping and aviation industries in particular will make it increasingly difficult to transport goods internationally, placing vulnerable communities across the globe at risk of starvation.
