For most people, there's no mistaking the feeling of being in love. The novelty of new love can preoccupy you with that person and make the world around you disappear. But when you really think about it, love is hard to define, and extremely relative to the people involved. Love itself can be so hard to define that sometimes you wonder if it's even real, or healthy in many cases. The experience of love differs from person to person as well; for example, the whole “one man’s treasure is another man’s trash” saying. Does it matter that you and your mate view love from the same perspective? What if you define love differently? Then how do you give the kind of love your mate needs to be fulfilled or satisfied? Does love change over the course of relationships? And again, how would YOU define love?
