Soccer Parenting Association, Skye Eddy Bruce joins Dave to discuss her soccer involvement and SoccerParenting.com

About Skye

In addition to being a Youth All-American Soccer Player, she competed in track and cross country (2x VA State Champion, 1000m) she played college soccer for 4 years at the University of Massachusetts.  She played her 5th year of eligibility at George Mason University and finishing 2nd.  That year, Skye was named Defensive MVP of the Final Four and named a First Team All American.  After college Skye played in Washington D.C. area men’s leagues and travelled on weekends to Philadelphia to play for the Philadelphia Freedom; and in 1997 she joined Tavagnacco Femminile of the Italian Women’s League.  She met her husband David while an Assistant Coach and MBA Student at the University of Richmond, and is now on the Board of the Richmond Strikers Soccer Club – an ECNL and US Soccer Academy Club affiliated with Richmond United – with over 3000 travel and recreational level players.  Skye has her USSF “B” and National Goalkeeping Licenses and has had various opportunities to coach with US Soccer at a U-14 National Team Camp and with US Soccer Training Centers.
