We live in a time extended-size shoppers are boldly sporting on-trend fashionable styles that are full of color and show off their bodies.  That fact indicates there’s a proud sense of inner confidence within those who are wearing size 16+. The question still remains however; how do we change an ingrained way of thinking and referring to those who are not straight-sized in the fashion industry, as plus-size?

We believe all sizes need to feel good about themselves; so that no outside voices can nudge that sense of insecurity, doubtfulness, or resentful of smaller sizes, to creep into a mindset.  It’s not the size of a woman that makes her a woman, so it matters not if you refer to yourself as a woman who is full-figured, overly-curvy, or better yet an ‘extended-sized’ woman. What matters to this table is that you have tips, tools, and techniques that bring out the creativity within yourself so you can live the best life you can possibly live.

Tonight we talk with Shaunda McDill, Ericka The Plus-Size Goddess, and Janelle Simmons, known as "Dr. J" and "The Curvy Doc" (she has a doctorate in Higher Education and Adult Learning), about having a sense of belonging, body-shaming, and the importance of using storytelling to advance in personal and professional lifestyles.  We discuss how to identify your talents and gifts and how to do your own research so you can then create a solid, sound, business strategy that weaves authentic creativity into the overall branding solutions.
