Katie Iocona - sports and leisure programs coordinator - on Dream Catchers

Hello everyone we have a great guest tonight on Dream Catchers with LesPaul; Katie Iocona is the adaptive sports and leisure programs coordinator for Walton Foundation for Independence in Augusta GA.

I wanted her to come on tonight and share with everyone about how very important it is for people with disabilities to be involved in sports and leisure programs for and overall Independence and healthy living! Want to get out and stay active? We’ve got you covered.

Make new friends and learn new skills in our adaptive sports programs led by trained volunteers—all offered completely free, thanks to grants, donations from the local community and more.

To top all that off, ALL of these events are FREE for individuals with physical disabilities including spinal cord injuries, amputations, TBI, Cerebral Palsy, PTSD, Visual impairments, and others.  All we ask is for each of the clinics you have closed toed shoes and wear comfortable clothing (preferably a collared polo shirt or exercise clothing to keep you cool).
