A successful marriage can be one of the most rewarding experiences in life.  Equally so, a struggling relationship can be one of life's most difficult challenges.  In this show, we'll talk about what makes marriages work, how to prepare yourself for marriage if you are single, and how to tell if you are in a relationship that is abusive. 

LaVerne Stevens is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a private practice in Peachtree City, GA.  She is certified in Coaching, Master Addictions Counseling, Clinical Supervision, Distance Counseling and Clinical Supervision. She is certified as a Gottman Couples Educator, to bring the research and principles of the country's foremost relationship expert, Dr. John Gottman to couples in the Atlanta area. She has a Master's Degree  in Community Counseling from Duquesne (pronounced  Du-Cane') University in Pittsburgh, and studied Christian Counseling at South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary in Deerfield Beach, FL.
