"Understanding...the Key to Keeping The Word"

In explaining the parable of the sower, Jesus said that the devil steals the Word immediately from those who don't understand it.  I don't want to be in that position, and I know you don't either.  Let's talk about that word 'understanding' a little more.  What it means.  How do we make sure we are doing it.

No growth happens when there is no understanding because the Word doesn't stay in the ground of the heart so it can produce growth.

"Desire the sincere milk of the Word that you may grow thereby:", 1 Peter 2:2.
