Mercy and Nyuma Harrison are co-founders of the Harrison Scholars Foundation two years ago,  an initiative to help Zambians advance themselves and their families by providing scholarship awards for students attending university or trade schools in the U.S.  The Harrison Scholars Foundation aspires to provide information, mentorship and scholarships to students in Zambia and in the USA by providing scholarships, formal essay/resume writing skills workshops and individualized support to Zambia’s most determined and deserving students.  The Dorothy H. Harrison Passion and Persistence $1000 Scholarship applications for 2013 were released, Friday March 29th, 2013.

Join us on Perspectives as we talk to the Harrison family on this great initiative and the strides they have made.
