Meggie Wambui Waruri is President and Founder of Talanta Development Inc. She was born and raised in Kenya, the third among six children. She studied Legal Studies at Moi College and Kenyatta University in Kenya. She worked as a Paralegal for 9 years in Kenya before moving to the United States in 2001.
In 2004, Meggie lost her husband of 16yrs to HIV/AIDs which in her words, “by God’s Grace left me unscathed. I turned out negative even after the doctors declaring that my husband had been sick for over 10yrs which he admitted before his death.” She is a mother of two girls now currently enrolled in University.
Her organisation, Talanta Development Inc, is a youth empowerment platform nurturing excellence, leadership and growth to the whole person. This mission was driven by Meggie’s conviction that to have a platform to acknowledge and appreciate those who are maximizing their talents/gifts and being role models to others.
