Rev Suzanne Matale- GS, Council of Churches Zambia

Rev Suzanne Matale serves as the General Secretary for The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) which is an ecumenical umbrella organisation of mainline Christian churches that seeks to promote cooperation and fellowship between Christian churches and organizations in the nation. CCZ serves to strengthen Christian unity and to promote social justice, peace and development. This holistic ministry for human dignity to member churches, organizations, and to the people of Zambia is achieved through facilitation, advocacy, capacity-building, and networking to the glory of the triune God.

Rev Matale joins us on the show to discuss the role of CCZ as a member of the Oasis Forum, a group composed of the Law Association of Zambia, the NGO Coordinating Committee, the Zambia Episcopal Conference,and the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia, which has continued to be active in the nation’s political process particularly regarding the constitutional review process. She will also discuss gender, poverty and other social issues affecting Zambia’s citizenry.
