On the one hand there is the Christian stance which makes it clear that homosexuality is an abomination in the sight of God and on the other hand is another Christian stance which makes it clear that "Biblical homosexuality" is not the same as the lived experiences of gay persons who are involved in healthy monogamous relationships. How do gay Christians reconcile what the Bible has expressly laid out on more than one occasion with their sexual orientation? How do fundamentalist Christians reconcile the fact that sexual orientation is not a choice with the orthodox stance on homosexuality? Is being gay a sin, and if it is, is it worse than other sin? Is there a difference between a celibate gay Christian and a celibate straight Christian?
