two professors writing in the journal of feminist geography (because we need feminism in the sexist geography world) wrote that citing your sources perpetuates "white heteromasculinity" because more white men get sourced than women and people of color, there's no mention of the fact that there are just more white men in these fields, nope, somehow it's sexist.
