On Tuesday, March 1 at 1 p.m. Eastern, Daria Anne welcomes Dr. James Casale, Ph.D. to discuss his book Wise Up and be the Solution: Create a Culture of Learning in Your Home and Make Your Child a Success in School

Dr. Casale is a state and national award winning educator who began his career as a substitute teacher in 1963, when he completed his active duty with the United States Marine Corps Reserve.  Over a span of the next 50 years, he became an elementary, middle school, and high school teacher, middle and elementary school assistant principal, elementary school principal, assistant superintendent of schools for curriculum and instruction, and a college professor. He taught at several colleges in NY and Florida at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

He was the Florida Teacher of the Year in 1974, the first male teacher to receive that honor. In 1988, while serving as the principal of Purchase School in Harrison, NY, his school was recognized as a National School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education.

He is currently a freelance writer author, speaker, blogger and consultant.
