Join Writestream co-founder and Tuesday host Daria Anne when she welcomes returning guest, three-time author and internationally renowned artist Balazs Szabo to talk about his latest release, 'Rich Artist, Poor Artist.'

Szabo was born in Hungary 1943 in the middle of WWII and ended up behind the Iron curtain as spoils of war. He was raised by his grandparents, then by the most celebrated actor and film star couple, Sandor Szabo his father, and stepmother Kato Barczy.

At the age of 13, Szabo escaped solo from behind the Iron Curtain without family during the defeat of the bloody 1956 uprising against the occupying Soviets. He was found by his parents three weeks later and escaped with them to Austria.

They arrived in the U.S. where Szabo's father became well known Broadway actor before leaving for Hollywood. Then after 20 years in the U.S. he returned to Hungary with Kati. Balazs went on to become a very successful artist before writing his books: Knock In The Night, Tweezer Beezer, and Rich Artist, Poor Artist.
