WORLD WIDE AFRICA THE VOICE OF THE PANAFRICAN MOVEMENT

This weeks show will be about the formation of new groups that wish to be a part of building a nation for African Americans.   The PAN AFRICAN MOVEMENT  has gained momentum over the last 30 years.  From the time Malcolm, El Haji Malik Shabazz started the mirror image of the Organization of African Unity, the Organization of Afro-American Unity, the support is overwhelming that is given by the Africans who live in America. After leaving the Nation of Islam El Haji put all of his influence over the Nationalist and the Muslims who followed him to form the Organization of Afro-American Unity. His words and Ideas still ring true, and no matter what has been said or done to our Beloved Leader we continue the struggle. These were his words to us on June 8, 1964 three moths after leaving. "So it was our intention to try and find out what it was our African brothers were doing to get results, so that you and I could study what they had done and perhaps gain from that study or benefit from their experiences. And my traveling over there was designed to help to find out how. " If we do not go to Africa and study how they have achieved their results, the only way we can build a nation is to study Nation building. It is illogical to declare you a Nationalist if you are ignoring these facts. Should we continue the Movement by reviving the OAAU  "Barely a month after his selection, Mr. Carmichael, then just 25, raised the call for black power, thereby signaling a crossroads in the civil rights struggle. Increasingly uncomfortable with Dr. King's resolute nonviolence, he sensed a shift among some younger blacks in the direction of black separatism. Many were listening sympathetically to the urgings of Malcolm X, who had been assassinated a year and a half earlier, that the struggle should be carried out by any means necessary."
