Ramez Naam is an H.G. Wells Award-winning speaker, writer, and futurist on the impact of the rapid changes happening in technology, science, and the world all around us.  Ramez was trained as a computer scientist and spent 13 years at Microsoft, leading teams working on email, web browsing, search, and artificial intelligence.
 
Ramez teaches at Singularity University on innovation, energy, and environment. He writes award-winning non-fiction about the future of humanity and the planet, and science fiction that explores the same.  His work has appeared or been discussed in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Business Week, the New Yorker, Scientific American, Popular Science, and PBS.
