World Footprints will share positive vibes from a Paralympic Champion, race into London 2012 with a remarkable person and special athlete, and “Hurdle Adversity” with a leading Paralympic Advocate, athlete and motivational speaker.

Meet Tony Volpentest.  Tony achieved his dream of running in the Olympics, becoming a four-time Paralympic Gold Medalist and five-time World Champion sprinter—a seemingly incredible accomplishment because Tony was born without hands or feet.  We’re honored to share his inspiring story.

Becoming a world-class athlete takes enormous determination, courage and faith and our good friend, Anjali Forber-Pratt, exudes all of those attributes.  As a child Anjali has been paralyzed from the waist down but she never allowed her wheelchair to limit her.  Anjali is an Olympic Bronze Medalist and she has her sights set on Gold in London.

Behind every great athlete is a strong advocate.  John Register was at the top of his sport as an all-American hurdler on the verge of qualifying for the US Olympic Team only to suffer a devastating injury that would lead to the loss of his leg.  He overcame that to compete as a Paralympian in two sports.  Today, John is on the management team at the US Olympic Committee in the Paralympic Division.
