Black unemployment is double digit in America. Blacks are the biggest consumers on the planet. Every  American Black History month,  Black events are showcased sharing accomplishments made by Blacks to America's economy. This is all good. The right thing to do. The right thing to do also is to for Black unemployment to not always exceed all others. Working and never getting out of poverty does not equate fulfillment. My challenge this Black history month is to all  descendants of the African slaves. Invest in yourself beginng this month. If you are employed, update your skills and get a raise or promotion. If you are unemployed, evaluate the reason and get a job by any means necessary. A man can't ride your back unless you bend it. If you are an employer, how long must Blacks in America wait for equality. Blacks are born in poverty, work a lifetime experiencing poverty and die prematurely in poverty. Pay tribute to Black History month by recalling and by blazing a path Blacks know well. A 21st century America should honor the efforts of all Americans, Blacks and others with jobs. Time we end double digit jobless rates in Black communities. Workers built America's companies and the least these American and foreign companies should do is jobs for American workers. Full employment across the board. Prosperity for all.
