From Nov 17th, 2005. My first conversation with Jeph Loeb was conducted via car phone, as Jeph dropped his daughter off for school, and drove to work, writing at the time for the TV series LOST.

The interview came at a crossroads point in Loeb's life, having lost his son Sam earlier that year.

He had also just left the Smallville writing staff, and was wrapping up his DC comics work, to begin his still current work at Marvel.

We discuss his work on Superman-Batman, prepping The Ultimates, and how his own personal experiences made him feel ready to explore the characters of LOST . We also discuss his Challenngers Of the Unknown mini series, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and comparing the DC and Marvel Universes.
