Trayvon Martin: How we can better protect our Sons

It's been two years since Trayvon Benjamin Martin was gunned down in Sanford, Florida. In just a few short weeks, it will have also been one year since George Michael Zimmerman has been acquitted of his murder. 

Today, our sons are more vulnerable then when our father's were growing up. Hence, by revisiting some elements of the State v. Zimmerman case, we can extract some things to help not only protect our sons, but also build a worthwhile system where we can watch over each other in these destitute, trying times.
