In this episode of Women's Voice, our guest Ph.D Becky M. Mulvaney and I will discuss her book "Women, Power, and Ethnicity: Working Toward Reciprocal Empowerment." Becky asserts that ""You don't have to act like a man to be powerful." We will also talk about what is reciprocal empowerment, and how do women perceive and utilize power. She will tell us her amazing findings of her original research on gender-based power. She is an associate professor at Florida Atlantic University who coordinates the Department’s Speakers’ Corner (a series of student debates and forums), has teaching and research interests in gender, ethnicity, and power, the rhetoric of social movements, the rhetoric of music and dance, and rhetoric and democratic practices.
