Today's guest Pat Griffin is the former director of It Takes A Team, an education and advocacy project addressing LGBT issues in sport. She is also Professor Emerita in the Social Justice Education Program at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She spends her retirement doing what she can to make sure that younger generations of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender athletes and coaches can live openly, be recognized for their talents and respected for their character instead of hated, misunderstood or feared for their sexual orientation or gender identity. She wrote a book entitled, Strong Women, Deep Closets: Lesbian and Homophobia in Sports. She is also co-editor of Teaching For Diversity and Social Justice: A Sourcebook for Teachers and Trainers, Routledge, the second edition. Don't miss this open in-depth discussion with Pat Griffin.
