Before Janet White was laid off from her corporate public relations job, the sales director for a national business magazine tried to convince her that her firm needed to advertise in his magazine and participate in an event his magazine was sponsoring. She told him why they didn’t and that there was nothing in his hard-sell presentation that related to her company. She went on to tell him how he could have easily qualified her company and tailored his presentation to meet her needs. Shortly after that, he called her and said, "I am prepared to offer you a senior position on my staff. I know sales talent when I see it, and you could get into any senior corporate executive’s office in this country." Janet turned down his offer, but he hit on something. Ever since she started working in the early 1970’s, she'd gotten every job she'd ever wanted – and it didn’t matter if she didn’t have any experience, didn’t know anyone on the inside, how big the company was, how much competition there was or what the economy was doing. None of those things mattered. The difference was she was thinking differently, and that started early. Her book Secrets of the Hidden Job Market will help you realize why you’ve been having problems getting hired, and teach you a revolutionary approach that is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Once you read this book, you’ll never look for a job the same way again because when you change your thinking, you change your life.
