Birth of An Evangelist...A Personal Testimony Pt 2 - Friday Night Joy

Evangelist Lewis Mcllwain began his official ministry call at New Home Ministries and gave his initial sermon under the tutelage of Pastor Bobby D. Hicks on March 31, 2000.  Since that time Evangelist McIlwain has been a member of several churches and currently attends services at Infinity Church in Baltimore, MD.

Through the years Evangelist McIlwain has been a praise & worship leader, youth and adult Sunday School teacher, outreach music minister, and has ministered in song and Word throughout the nation.  He has been active in street outreach, prison ministry, homeless/shelter witnessing and has traveled internationally and has preached to many.

Currently Evangelist McIlwain is Co-Founder and President of Thirst No More Corporation; which is a humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing community related services in developing nations.  Evangelist McIlwain has led an effort in the Democratic Republic of Congo to renovate a school and provide a centralized water system in the village community of Ndalu; as well as spearheaded efforts in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s capital city of Kinshasa to create computer labs in several local schools and is in the process of establishing an annual toy/care package drive for poverty stricken areas in that region.  Evangelist McIlwain is also one of several committee members engaged in the development of an Arts & Music Center in the City of Baltimore.

Evangelist Lewis McIlwain accepted the Christ Jesus April 1991 and has found comfort and empowerment in scripture from Luke 19:10 which reads, “For the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”  He has also adopted a personal mission statement that says, “Where There Is Vision, GOD Will Make Provision.”
