As a school psychologist Umar evaluates school children ages 3-21 in an effort to determine if the have an educational disabilities and a need for special educational services. Umar is considered a national expert on learning disabilities and there effect on Black children, as well has an expert on helping schools and parents modify challenging behaviors that can ultimately lead to disruptive behavior disorder diagnosis in Black boys. A Herculean task but one that should be very easy to accomplish with the simple participation of our community as a whole.
Saint Paul’s College, the beleaguered HBCU in Lawrenceville, Va., will cease operation on June 30, according to its board of trustees. A spokesperson for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) confirmed that Belle S.
