On the February 25th program, I am delighted to speak with Beth Wicker, owner at Three Cats and a Dog Design Studios and Vice President at Sandhill Quilting Company. Her Twitter handle is @bethewicker, see: http://twitter.com/bethwicker. Beth Wicker has been creating in one media or another all her life. Wicker's passions for color, texture, and pattern have permeated her work, whether in textiles, metals, paper or paint. She has a BA in Art from Meredith College in North Carolina, an MFA from the University of South Carolina, with time spent studying at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan, at Penland School of Crafts in NC, and numerous workshops. Wicker has been on the South Carolina Approved Artists Roster for over 25 years, conducting residencies in schools and communities throughout South Carolina. Her work is in collections nationally and internationally, and has won numerous awards. She is a juried member of the Artisans of the South Carolina Cotton Trail, and a member of the North Carolina Society of Goldsmiths.
