Endangered Species Statement of March 14, 2013 by Bill Leikam.

Do we need to wait until an animal is on the threatened or on the endangered species list before we decide to take action to save the species? I don’t think so. I think we need to treat all wildlife as though it is threatened, as though it is headed for extinction, before their habitats are destroyed by our encroachment on their homes, before their corridors are cut to shreds by our so-called development, and before we have to sadly look back and ask, “Why didn’t we do something before all this happened?”
