Featured in Vogue, People and Vibe magazines, her self-titled HBO Special was nominated for two Cable Ace Awards – Best Comedy Special and Best Performer.
Hazelle became the first and only African American to star in a Woody Allen film as “Cookie” in Allen’s Deconstructing Harry, she appeared as the diva, drug lord, “Georgia Rae Mahoney” on NBC’s Homicide, and as Evelda Drumgo in Hannibal.
Hazelle made her Shakespearean debut as the “Queen” in the Public Theater’s production of Cymbeline.
Ms. Goodman was honored by the former Manhattan Borough President, C. Virginia Fields for her outstanding contributions in theatre, television and film.
As a Human Rights Advocate, Goodman created the Amadou Diallo Scholarship Fund at The City College of New York in honor of the slain African Immigrant Amadou Diallo. A mission of Ms. Goodman is mentoring incarcerated women and “At Risk Youth” and is currently appearing in her self-titled one-woman show..
