Burke is a wholehearted entrepreneur who started early, building his first business while still studying. After graduation, Burke worked for decades in several sales and management positions, mostly for high-tech companies. Since 1990, Burke jumped ship into the entrepreneurial world again. With his business JIAN he has helped many CEO’s and business owners launch and expand their business.

Burke has been elected to the White House Conference on Small Business, and he has been a finalist for the Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award.

Burke is also a regular international speaker on business planning and presented an ongoing series called The Thinking Behind Your Business Plan.

In his book, Business Black Belt, he draws parallels from the martial arts to building and running a business.
