Natural gas is a general term, which can include things like ethane and propane, but this well is probably 98% methane. Methane causes asphyxiation by displacing oxygen. Methane gas is extremely flammable and will easily cause explosions. It can leak unnoticed into structures and spaces & a tiny spark can ignite the undetected gas.
