Tiffany A. Flowers is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and the founder of Golden Butterfly Publishing. She is a third generation artist continuing the legacy began by her mother and grandmother. She spent the majority of her childhood attending poetry readings, festivals, and art shows with her mother. Both women instilled in Tiffany a love for art, and taught her firsthand that art is to be both beautiful and inspiring. Tiffany has definitely added to her family legacy. She has penned two books, and a portion of her sales from each book are donated to charities. The first release is entitled I Am A Sigma Gamma Rho Legacy. A portion of the proceeds from this book are donated to the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. National Education Fund. This sorority fund provides college scholarships for low-income students. Her second release is scheduled for April 2010. This release is entitled, For Those Who Stare At The Moon, a portion of those proceeds from this book go to The DuSable Museum of African American History. Tiffany considers herself to be a teacher, writer, and entrepreneur. After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education, she went on to complete another Masters degree in Education from the University of Iowa. After completing her degrees, she began her teaching career in both public schools and colleges. While teaching, Tiffany was inspired to tell her students stories about her life. Both her public school and college students encouraged her to write her original stories and publish them. So, Tiffany began writing her stories in journals for the next seven years. She spent many nights and weekends crafting her books while simultaneously working on her PhD.
