AUTHOR SANDY NATHAN holds master's degrees in Economics and Marriage, Family, & Child Counseling. She was a doctoral student at Stanford's Graduate School of Business and has been an economic analyst, businesswoman, negotiation coach, and horse rancher. Sandy has won thirteen national awards for her writing, including the prestigious 2011 Silver Nautilus Award for her book Tecolote: The Little Horse That Could.
