It's time to get over this fear of public speaking.  You live in a world of media now.  The chances of you ending up on film or having your voice recorded and played in public are outrageously large.

We're going to kill the misconceptions that make people hate the idea of public speaking.

When this show is over, if you listened closely, you will not have a fear of public speaking anymore.  This fear is a bully, and tonight, we are going to kick its ass rather thoroughly and promptly.

Show notes: the correlation that I mentioned but did not follow up on was this--the fact that I do my shows (so far) without notes or preparation except for thinking is a testament to the fact that if you're open, honest, and at least semi-knowledgeable about your topic, MY broadcast is the WORST you can get, and from feedback I've seen, it isn't bad 'tall.  You, on the other hand, WILL have notes (cards) presumably--I'd advise against them and just say go with it, since it allows for realism and spontaneity (something else people are terrified of) but to be safe and to be sure, you'll have your notes, so you'll be BETTER than me in this broadcast, and that should be more than good enough!
