Is your thought life deadly, or does it bring life and peace?

As Christians, we are called to renew our minds. When you renew your mind  - to have the mind of Christ, you will think about spiritual things, heavenly things. Romans 8:5- 8 says

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

When you renew your mind to have the mind of Christ, you will think about spiritual things, heavenly things.

Paul tells the Roman church that to be fleshly-minded brings death. To be spiritually minded brings life and peace. If you are not experiencing peace in your thought life; if you are beset by worries, fears, doubt, anxieties, confusion; if you are thinking more about the things of this world than the things in heaven, then you need to renew your mind. You need to be more spiritually minded.
