The Spirit of the Lord has anointed Me to proclaim liberty to the captives

As we seek to be free from the bondages of everything that holds us back from growing in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, let us remember that we need the Holy Spirit to be truly free. Desiring to be free is not enough. Our human efforts cannot set us free. We need power from on high to break every yoke of bondage.

The Lord Jesus Christ said in Luke 4:18

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Let us turn to the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, so we can be free in indeed.
