Re-air: To serve & protect...why we fear law enforcement

We all know that law enforcement is put in place to serve and protect their communities but what happens when the community doesn't look at them as protection but rather, the enemy. There has been too many accounts of law officers over stepping their badge with super egos. There are officers known on the streets for being the tough cop but is that image working? Do you feel cops add unnecessary  tension to their jobs often times resulting in getting injured or killed? Do you fear the law more than you feel it's protection?
