Through storytelling and reading, I developed a strong imagination and a love of storytelling early. I did well in my English classes, but was certainly not at the top of my class. Once I got to college, I took a few creative writing classes to give myself a creative outlet and also satisfy my English requirements for my major (which I changed 7 times!) I finally settled on business and became a Marketing major. After a few jobs in the field, I finally figured out that that wasnt the life for me. I wanted something more creative. I fell back on writing after I got laid off in California, and started writing my first book.
