Joe Heins - Minister

Joe lives in Auburn, Indiana with his wife and three children. Born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Joe worked as a wireless design engineer for 16 years before accepting the call into seminary and fulltime ministry. Joe’s engineering career included extensive travel in North/South America and Europe. He currently serves as the senior minister at the Auburn Church of Christ with a church membership of 200.

In 1993 Joe began his journey back into the mainstream of life and the sunlight of the Spirit after admitting his powerlessness over alcohol. The journey back into reality has led him down many different paths including prison ministry, counseling, leading retreats, preaching and church leadership. He has written several published articles and has been the guest speaker at colleges, churches and youth camps.

Joe’s life goal is to be a channel of God’s grace, ever seeking opportunities to use his experience, strength and hope for the good of his fellow travelers. The biblical passage which best illustrates Joe’s motivation in life is Romans 12:1-2.
