A LOTT of Real Talk: The State of Education

THE 13TH AMENDMENT MADE SLAVERY ILLEGAL, IN THE UNITED STATES. THE LACK OF EDUCATION, IN 2012, IS RECREATING A NEW TYPE OF "SLAVERY."

In the 2000's and prior, there were several jobs that you could acquire with just a high school diploma, like a substitute teacher, a real estate agent, a real estate appraiser or a home day-care provider. In 2012, however, the rules are being changed. No less than an associate degree will be acceptable to do these same jobs now.

With 1,000,000 students dropping out of high school per year and minorities graduating from high school at less than 50%, we are "creating" a new type of slavery...a class of people that don't have their "freedom papers" HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA.
