7.5 miles of road in central Los Angeles are shut down for a major cycling event called CicLAvia, which is currently scheduled to happen three times a year. Admission is free, and participants are only able to ride their bikes, walk, or skate. This is a great way to teach the community about the benefits of cycling, and how riding a bike really isn't all that much work!
