Join us for a special interview with Frank Gibson, executive director of the Tennessee Coalition for Open Government and a former president of the National Freedom of Information Coalition and the Society of Professional Journalists. The retired political editor of The Tennessean newspaper in Nashville, Gibson is a close friend and mentor of mine, and in this interview, he'll talk a bit about his advice to people who are initially turned down when seeking access to public records. He'll also talk about public officials' use of social media as a means to circumvent open government laws, and about his predictions for open government legislation on the horizon as many states prepare to reconvene their legislatures.
