Carl O Helvie a registered nurse with a doctorate in public health and wellness from Johns Hopkins U. and 60 years experience as a nurse practitioner, educator, author, and researcher. During my career I obtained a grant for close to 1 million dollars and established a nursing center to provide health care to homeless and low income individuals and families. I also developed the Helvie Energy Theory of Nursing and Health and refined it over 35 years. It is used in nursing service, education and research in 12 countries. I am also a 38 year lung cancer survivor who was given 6 months to live by conventional medicine at diagnosis so I used natural holistic interventions. I currently host the Holistic Health Show on radio, write for a magazine, market my new book (over 35 radio shows for others since mid November, 2012) , 3 television shows, and 6 interviews for magazine articles). and continue writing. I have been listed in most major reference books and on Wikipedia and received the Distinguished Career Award from the American Public health Association in 1998.
