POLITICAL CRITICAL: IS TWO BETTER THAN ONE PARENT?

Some people say a children need both parents in the house.  Others say, it is not always neccersary, but it would be nice.  What are you thoughts on this subject?  Is it true or not, will the children turn out ok?  What is the difference in single parent homes and two parent homes?

Single parent families are at a higher risk of poverty than couple families, and on average single mothers have poorer health than couple mothers.

Sexual activity. In a study of 700 adolescents, researchers found that "compared to families with two natural parents living in the home, adolescents from single-parent families have been found to engage in greater and earlier sexual activity."
