Join me as I interview Chicagoland area Freelance Features Writer turned Author Denise Baran- Unland for the release of her first of four books, "Bryony." (A Drop of Blood a Deceptive Fantasy). Unland is a fascinating story herself, having home schooled her children, helped launched a church and  written countless stories focusing on the sick, less fortunate and rallying for the little guy. Bryony is the story of a young woman's fascination with the wife of a vampire. Unland's book takes the reader through a fascinating journey back through Victorian history, food, culture and fashion. There is poetry from the greats of the 19th and 20th Century as well as Celtic and Nordic history interwoven in a charming, yet intelligent, theme that beckons back to Lestat and Stoker. Unland has a winner here that will appeal to all ages.  What I love most about Bryony is that it is devoid of sex and gratuitous violence yet smacks deliciously of the sophistication, allure and brutishness of the classic vampire novels of days gone by. The show will also feature music by James Onohan a master pianist and COP! Onohan brings John Simon's, Bryony's Lestat, to life through the ivory in an enchanting almost hypnotic way. Don't miss it!
