This Tuesday on the Conversation, President Donald J. Trump said his administration will pursue a new round of $200 billion tariffs on Chinese goods, responding to retaliatory levies from China.   "There's a moral cost to separating children from their families and it is important that Democrats and Republicans come together to respect the laws of the land, and the need to keep families together."  Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said Monday that the growing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border "is not new" as the Trump administration dug in amid a national outcry over the separation of immigrant children from their parents. My thoughts on the issue being raised now that has been here for a long time.  A renowned Mexican chef says President Donald J. Trump isn’t welcome in “my country and my world.”  LIke anyone care about this person.  While overall food stamp enrollment has been on a steady decline since 2013, some observers credit President Donald J. Trump's emphasis on getting more Americans back to work and his administration’s crackdown on fraud in the SNAP program as the reason why the decline has sped up.  A controversial Muslim professor at the University of Connecticut retired this past year after students complained that he required them to say an Arabic phrase and remove their shoes before entering his office.  Wow Imagine if he was a christian who did that.   A real estate business in Massachusetts will be able to keep a patriotic display of American flags on its lawn after being issued a violation for it.
