Humbled and Proven through Testing and You (Deuteronomy 8)

God reveals in this chapter that when the nation of Israel was being fed with manna from heaven, He was humbling and testingthem, to find out whether or not they would obey His commands. This is interesting -- it suggests that the truth of what they would do is truly revealed only when they are being tested. It's like the saying that you have to get into a tight spot to see what comes out of you under pressure.
